EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY LEADERS

Jun Kim took the reins as Director of Technology days after the May 2013 Tornado. Kim was responsible for the recovery, redesign, and implementation of the ever-expanding IT needs for a district of 25,000 students, 2000 staff, and 36 instructional sites. He is currently developing and implementing a one to one rollout set for 2020. With the impending rollout, he has pushed the need for shoring up student data privacy.

Kim worked for Edmond Public Schools and Norman Public Schools as a science teacher and coach.  Then began working for Moore Public Schools in 2002 as an assistant principal. He has spent over 23 years in education and his mission to care, commit, and to changes the lives of his students by creating connections has not changed.

Kim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education and a master’s degree in school administration from the University of Oklahoma and has served over 26 years in the Oklahoma Air National Guard.
